If you are one of those who fancy the RS breed of Skoda Octavia and want to get one, then you better hurry up. The Czech carmaker started accepting bookings for the new Skoda Octavia RS 245, and it will have a limited run of just 200 models.
The performance-specced Skoda Octavia launched at the Auto Expo 2020 at a price tag of Rs 36 lakh. It can be booked only through a centralized online platform, Buyskodaonline for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. New Skoda Octavia was available in five color options, such as Rallye Green, Race Blue, Corrida Red, Magic Black, and Candy White.
The output of Skoda RS vehicles is terrifying, and the Octavia RS 245 characterized by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder TSI BS6 petrol engine with a peak torque of 370Nm at 242bhp, and a seven-speed DSG gearbox. Its three engines are enough to pull the Skoda Octavia RS 245 to triple-digit speeds in just 6.6 seconds, while it clocks an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
The Skoda Octavia RS 245 will be sold as a fully built unit (CBU) in India, making it more expensive than the Skoda Octavia L&K 1.8 range-topping petrol variant in the regular model line-up.
The sporty aura extended to the all-black cabin and features a flat-bottom steering wheel and comfortable seats wrapped in Alcantara leather that provides better lateral support, keeping the driver upright at the corners. Moreover, it borrows the Audis Virtual Cockpit and receives an updated 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new Skoda model cabin loaded with features like dual-zone auto climate control, 60:40 split rear, and offers a boot space of 590 liters that can be expanded up to 1580 liters.
This car doesn’t fail to impress in the safety features as well featuring nine airbags including a driver knee airbag, Multi Collision Brake (MKB), Adaptive Front light System (AFS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Anti Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Brake Assist (BA), Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), and Electronic Differential Lock (EDL).
