2020 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Launched in India, Price

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently introduced the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin in India. The new model comes with an updated design, a larger 1084cc parallel-twin engine, but it looks slimmer. The latest Honda bike is heavily loaded with more technology and connectivity features.

The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports version renovated for 2020 and offers a new fairing, a lighter frame and a fuel tank of 25-liters. The key difference between the Honda Africa Twin standard version and the Adventure Sports version is the protective bodywork, height-adjustable windscreen, and a standard engine bash plate on the Adventure Sports model.

Honda Africa Twin Price in India

The new Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Price starts at Rs 15.35 lakh. The new Africa Twin gets four riding modes (Tour, Urban, Gravel, and Off-Road), and two additional customizable User modes. The standard Honda Afrika Twin model of the new Africa Twin has a fuel tank capacity of 18.8liters with a weight of 226 kg.

The 2020 Honda Africa Twin uses a bigger engine displacement at 1084cc, offering 12% more power and 11% more torque. The power to weight ratio also improved by 10%. The engine gets lighter aluminum cylinder sleeves and redesigned engine casings. The fueling was updated and Honda Africa Twin obtains a wider 43mm throttle body with a smoother air intake profile. The ECU remapped with reworked injector angles on the new model, offering direct spray into the re-shaped twin spark combustion chambers. The new touchscreen instrument cluster offers Bluetooth audio as well as Apple Carplay connectivity.

The wheel size remains unchanged with a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheels with tubed tires. Braking is done by 310mm dual-wave hydraulic discs with 4-piston radial fit calipers on the front wheel and a 256 mm single hydraulic disk with a single-piston caliper. The dual-channel ABS give on-road and off-road environments, and it completely switched off on the rear wheel. The new Africa Twin has claimed 20.4kmpl fuel efficiency in the manual transmission version and 20.8kmpl in the automatic DCT version.
