The 2020 BMW X1 facelift launched in India at a price range of Rs 35.90 lakh to Rs 42.90. This is the first facelift for entry-level BMW SUV in India. The latest BMW car comes with several cosmetic changes along with BS6 compliant 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engines.
BMW India has surely gained a good head start against the rivals Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz new-gen GLA gearing up to launch in India this year. The BMW SUV launched in three variants such as SportX, xLine, and M Sport.
The 2020 BMW X1 comes with a heavily updated face with more prominent kidney grilles with vertical slats, updated headlamps with a new cluster and new LED daytime running lamps. The new front bumper looks a bit more aggressive and comes with new, large black inserts on either end, which looks a bit out of place. The SUV’s profile largely remains unchanged, but we do get a new set of wheels and black underbody cladding with silver color skid plates, and a set of revised taillamps.
The 2020 BMW X1 Facelift variant divided into two BS6 petrol and two BS6 diesel options. The cabin comes with an update, while the overall design remains similar. Now the SUV gets a new 8.8-inch touchscreen iDrive infotainment system, it feels much more premium and offers a lot more in terms of connectivity, which gets Apple CarPlay.
The entry-level X1 sDrive20i SportX and the mid-spec X1 sDrive20i xLine are powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine that offers close to 189 bhp and maximum torque of 280 Nm. And a 2.0-liter diesel engine makes 189 bhp with a peak torque of 400 Nm. The new BMW SUV engine comes with a Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. This SUV comes with 4 driving modes, such as ECO PRO, Comfort, and Sport.
The BMW X1 M Sport variant comes with a different body kit with the all-black grille, sportier bumper with different air intake. This M Sport model also comes with body-color cladding and side skirts instead of black ones seen on other variants. It offers Sport Seats for driver and front passenger.
The new BMW X1 also offers electrical seat adjustment for both driver and passenger. Users can check here for the latest automobile launches around the world.
